My name is Robert Texidó Bartes, I am Associate Professor of Material Science at Sarriá Chemical Institute (IQS) in Barcelona, Spain. I am a member of the GEMAT group, where we develop new biomaterials and surface engineerig technologies to improve medical devices and to create new therapies in the biomedical field.
My research interests are focused on:
Biomaterials and surface engineering applied to the development of medical devices with advanced features.
Stretchable electronics for sensors and biointegrated devices
New strategies to avoid biofilm formation and bacterial colonization.
Biomechanics and bioprinting for personalized medicine
